South Africa 2016
We love to travel and to be inspired by the cooks and kitchens of the world. This past summer took us to South Africa, a land of incredible food and culture. The influences come from everywhere- the indigenous people of Africa to the constant waves of immigration that included Dutch, German, French, Italian, Greek and British. The traders and seafarers brought their own cooking habits and style from Indonesia and Portugal. The result is a fantastic mixture of food and beverage found nowhere else on the planet.
